If you block her and she blocks you that should be sufficient. I question 'friends' that feel the need to pass her nastiness on to you. That just perpetuates the feeling of conflict. Keep in mind - there is also good in this world. Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

Thank you for stating so eloquently what I am sure many of us feel. No doubt she would love for all the strong and resilient women to walk away. Thank goodness that's not going to happen! [image] I too have seen a daughter struggle with a eating disorder since she was 12 yrs old. And it breaks my heart.

I cannot believe that "friends" waste your time or theirs passing things on to you. That's pure ignorance and it's hurtful. It is bad enough that several of us are quite aware of the two you mention. What small petty lives of emptiness they exist in. I terms of "real women" I'll speak to the ads and the sizing of clothing. I am hunting for a rain coat, and so far I have returned 6 via on-line. They are using "pygmies" for patterns and china dolls for measurements. I wont spoil this honorable post further but the clothes are put out there for monetary gain and I dont think they care who gets maligned BUT two folks here feel the need to malign the rest of us. know exactly who you are speaking of (as far as the woman blogger is concerned), and she annoys the hell out of me - to the point that I no longer leave comments on any of her posts. She is so two-faced, talking about the importance of "supporting other women and bloggers", and at the same time is so opinionated that anyone who doesn't believe as she does, is Wrong. 1. She quite adamantly says "she doesn't care about what others think", and then goes on and on, ad nauseum, complaining about "what others think". 2. She professes to speak for ALL Canadians, 1 example being that Tim Horton's coffee is a MUST. Tim Hortons coffee is a gawdawful bitter concocton that This Canadian chooses not to drink. Many others go there only for the baked goodies, and can't stand their coffee. It really annoys me that she thinks she can speak for all citizens of our great Country. 3. She often professes to speak for ALL Women. Well, all women don't think, feel, or act the way she does. 3. She considers herself an authority on almost everything she writes about. 4. She goes on, and on, about being a published author. Her poetry is OK, but her writing skill (or lack thereof) indicate she is sadly in need of an editor, as she seems to be unaware of the proper place within a sentence where adverbs and adjectives should be inserted. I fully support every Blogger's right to their opinions. I often disagree with them, and sometimes comment on that. But to make a point of denigrating a fellow woman blogger just because they have a difference of opinion, is Rude. It also makes her look even "smaller" than she already is, at least "small-minded". She did admit, in response to a comment on her blog from a friend of mine, that out of over 700 watchers of her blog, there are only about 5 women - and she purposely directs ALL of her posts to her male readers and watchers. So, I guess she didn't expect that her shameful post calling you out would be seen by any other women. I also noticed that, when that same friend "publicly called her out" on blasting another female blogger, by alluding to her handle, she then turned around and deleted that blog post. I clicked on it and walked away. When you made reference, I went back to read and made two key observations. 1) She's 55 and still compares herself to teenagers while insisting she's curvy.... really nothing good to say about that kind of mentality so I passed. 2) Even the guy who wrote the original post felt impelled to come in a defend himself and the post. In which the original post had nothing to do with the content of her post. What a fool ! Comprehension - lacking! As far as VS - they target a niche market - so what! So did Fredricks before them - just like Hustler, Penthouse and Playboy all targeted different segments in the same market . So does all / most marketers. Its called business and if it makes money - that's what you do because its easier and cheaper than targeting broader markets. VS does it well including its marketing strategy of the annual show. The only problem I see in all of it is how gullible women can be to a marketing pitch. Not much different than how this site targets a segment and still continues to trick men into paying for garbage while giving it out free to women willing to expose all. Just business.

I feel the same way you do, and honestly I was as flabergasted with it just like Pocogato was. I don't would never want you to feel like you can't come and post on my blogs EVER! As I feel so very privileged to be one of your friends here as we have been friends for many years. That's unfortunate that this is happening. I totally understand how peer pressure is hard on a young teen, the pressure to conform to what society says they should be. Is there a wonder why there is a high rate in teen suicides? Media is a big problem in this and we exacerbate it. Stay true to yourself kissin.

Watched the movie "Dumplin" (on Nexflix) with my granddaughter a few days ago...I caught the last half hour of the movie and enjoyed what I saw of the movie,,,a chick type flick...I loved the message that the ending sent... I had a tear in my eye...glad the granddaughter did not see it...LOL Dumplin is not a great movie with awesome acting but it is worth a watch.

I dont know who the female blogger is, but I do know who the male blogger spoken of is, and blocked him long ago myself. Tho I still see his comments on those blogs that havnt blocked him. I am very cautious when I comment on blogs, and even so, have been blocked by several despite my best efforts to not offend. What I do wish is a way to eliminate those blogs I have been blocked from, from appearing in my notification lists, since I manage to click on one at least once a day, but no such thing seems to be possible. If I DO write something that offends you, contact me on my blog and TELL ME, please. Maybe I was in error, maybe you didnt understand what I typed, and maybe I will offer an appology. But to be blocked with an unknown reason is very frustrating to say the least!

AND P.S., I agree totally about the media & how they manipulate society into thinking in bad directions, about body, race, and much else. My fave is the article about a diet concern, followed by a commercial promoting just the kind of food they condemmed in the previous article!
