Nipple Piercing - Yay or Nay

I've become quite enamored with fairly intense nipple play over the past couple of years and am very seriously considering taking the plunge! I'd be a little late to the game - I turn 52 next month but hey sometimes you just gotta say WTF and you only live once (that I know of for sure, that is!).

My biggest question is how long to allow for healing before playing? I saw one site that said up to 10 months and if that's true I'd have to do one at a time 'cuz 10 months of no nipple play sounds terrible!
